CentreStage Theatre is dedicated to nurturing the creative talents of young individuals through our comprehensive Youth Theatre programs. We offer a range of camps designed to immerse participants in the world of theatre, fostering skills in acting, movement, and character development.
Youth Theatre Camps
Our drama camps cater to children aged 5 to 15, providing an engaging environment where participants learn essential stage skills, including voice modulation, movement, character development, and technical aspects of theatre. Each camp culminates in a performance, allowing every child to showcase their talents on stage. 32
March Break Camp
During the March Break, we offer a specialized camp that provide a creative outlet for youth to explore theatre arts. This camp is designed to engage participants in various aspects of theatre production, culminating in a performance at the end of the week. MARCH BREAK CAMP REGISTRATION FOR 2025 IS CURRENTLY FULL
Summer Youth Camps
Our Summer Youth Camps are held during July and August, offering week-long sessions where participants delve into theatre arts. Campers engage in activities such as leading games, assisting with crafts, running lines, rehearsals, costumes, makeup, acting, prop creation, and more. Volunteer Camp Assistants, aged 14 and above, play a vital role in supporting these activities. Preference is given to those who have previously attended our drama camps. Volunteer Camp Assistants
CentreStage is offering Volunteer Camp Assistant positions for several of our summer camps this summer. These positions may be applied for by emailing Lana Churchill.
The summer assistants will help with the running of the camps.
• Leading games
• Helping with crafts
• Assisting with snacks
• Running lines
• Helping with rehearsals
• Helping with costumes and makeup
• Acting when necessary
• Creating props
• Cleanup
Volunteer Summer Camp assistants are needed. You may apply for more than one camp. Preference will be given to those who have attended Drama Camps. Minimum age requirement is 14.
The hours are 8:30 – 3:00, Monday through Friday with the final production on Friday afternoon.

Theatre has many benefits for people of all ages. For $165 you can sponsor a child, who otherwise can’t afford it, to attend one of the drama camps at CentreStage Theatre this summer. If you would like to make a donation to support campers, please contact youth@centrestagetheatre.ca Tax receipts will be issued.
