CentreStage Theatre Society Affirms Commitment to Inclusion and Community Well-Being

CentreStage Theatre Society has become aware of comments circulating online that misrepresent the values and mission of our organization. As an organization dedicated to the artistic expression and community engagement in the Annapolis Valley, we are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and like they belong.

CentreStage Theatre Society was founded 40 years ago on the principles of creativity, connection, and community. We believe in the transformative power of theatre to bring people together, celebrate diversity, and inspire meaningful conversations. While we recognize that misunderstandings and disagreements can occur, we remain steadfast in upholding the dignity of every member of our community—onstage, backstage, and in our audience.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

We reaffirm our dedication to creating a space where individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities can contribute and thrive. CentreStage Theatre Society actively works to promote equity, inclusion, and reconciliation in all aspects of our programming and operations. We will continue to listen, learn, and collaborate to ensure that our theatre remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
